Caregiver Careers
at Addus HomeCare

This is where care starts.

And where many healthcare careers begin.

If you want meaningful work, caregiving is often the first step. At Addus, caregivers help people stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. It is honest work and it matters.

What caregiving may look like

  • Companionship through conversation, reading, and shared activities
  • Help with personal care like bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Meal preparation based on client needs and preferences
  • Errands and transportation to appointments

Caregivers do not provide medical care.

If you are looking for hands-on clinical experience, our Home Health or Hospice teams may be a better fit.

What makes caregiving at Addus different?

No two days look the same. You may spend a full day with one client or support several clients through shorter visits. We work to match your availability with the right client so your schedule fits your life.

We offer:

  • Full-time, part-time, and flexible schedules
  • Ongoing support
  • The option to care for your existing clients or loved ones
  • A clear starting point for a long-term healthcare career

Many of our nurses, office leaders, and clinical team members started as caregivers.
