Overview

Position Summary: This position will be responsible for assisting in developing and directing internal compliance and staff development/training programs to ensure the Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP) program is in compliance with Company policy and procedure and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties:

  • Conducts concurrent and retrospective record review to ensure timely completion, compliance, and accurate hospice data set documentation.
  • Consultation, education, and collaboration with clinicians, operations, and other team members to clarify documentation issues, provide feedback, and follow correction guidelines for hospice data sets.
  • Utilizes reports and other resources to ensure congruency between hospice data set responses.
  • Completes/coordinates all activities to submit, correct, and record Hospice data sets to meet CMS deadlines and reporting requirements.
  • Assists with oversight of the quality program, which includes tracking, reviewing, and providing corrective action plans and follow-up for all required HQRP activities
  • Provides written audit reports/updates to Senior Quality Manager/Designee as required
  • Assists in developing educational materials
  • Oversite of assigned staff.
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information
  • Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department
  • Follows all policies, Company procedures and policies, local, state and federal and accreditation regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Position Requirements & Competencies:

  • Degree in Nursing, or a related field of study, preferred bachelor’s degree.
  • 5-7 years of experience in health care
  • Audit experience is required
  • Some experience in a fast-paced, results-driven, organization
  • Must possess strong communication, written, interpersonal, and advanced computer skills
  • Ability to travel.
  • Must be self-confident, thorough, and prompt in completing assignments and projects
  • Passionate, energetic, tenacious and resolute, with a high sense of urgency and a strong drive to produce results
